Welcome!! I’m Jacqueline and thank you so much for visiting Knowledge Knot.
I am a high school science teacher by day! I teach biology and anatomy and physiology. Many people don’t understand how I can teach high school students. They have a preconceived notion of what today’s youth is like. I will be the first to admit teaching is not easy and it is definitely not for everyone. BUT I LOVE MY JOB. I love teaching kids…especially high school kids. Sure the money sucks, I volunteer a lot of my time to plan lessons, grade papers, tutor kids before and after school, and just listen, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Although I don’t have any human children yet I do have three dogs and any animal owner will tell you they are just like any other member of the family. My three dogs are just as spoiled and expensive as children but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. I just wish they lived as long as us. All three dogs were rescued…each with their own story but that’s a story for another day.
We bought our first house in November 2009. It’s a simple house with 900 square feet, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an unfinished basement. As of today we have done all the remodeling on the house ourselves. I never realized how many DIY people there were until I started reading blogs. It’s amazing what people can do and how they inspire each other.
We got married in July 2011 and instead of spending ALOT of money renting a hall for a single day for a few hours we decided we would invest the money into the house and have the wedding in the back yard. The wedding was wonderful and in my opinion of the best weddings I have ever been too!! 🙂
As of right now I am not sure what direction this blog will take. I enjoy writing each post and sharing pictures with the world. There is a lot of excitement when you realize some random person took a brief moment in their busy day to read and look at what I posted. I can’t thank you enough for taking time to stop by Knowledge Knot. Hopefully you like what you see and will come back again!!
