First, I just wanted to let you know I have decided to get the 50mm lens. I hope to get it ordered this weekend so I can start using it ASAP!! I will be sure to post all the details as soon as I have a chance to play around with it. I am SUPER EXCITED!!!
Now, not as exciting as a photography post but maybe someone will be excited to see my recent thrift store finds. I can’t say enough good things about goodwill/thrift stores. It helps (me at least) to have something in mind before venturing off into those types of stores or else it can appear very unorganized, messy, and not worth your time. However, there have been many times I’ve had nothing to do and wandered into the thrift store and walked out with great things. I’m sure timing has a lot to do with it. Anyone out there think shopping at the thrift store/goodwill is better certain days of the week? Just wondering! I haven’t found one day is better to shop than others but honestly I never really payed much attention!
You should know I still haven’t decided what I am going to do with the console table we built two weeks ago. It is currently in the living room waiting patiently until I can make up my mind. Until then I have placed several items from the thrift store on it to make a feel a little more welcoming and homie!
So there you have it. Would you believe everything on the console table combined cost 6 dollars. That’s a stealing. Not everything was purchased at the same time or at the same thrift store. I’ve been collecting that stuff for a while now and I finally have somewhere to put it. My secrete is to shop during the “everything in the store is 50% off sales”. AND sometimes when you donate items they will even give you coupons…to the thrift store..crazy!
The yellow decorations were actually wood until I spray painted them a bright sunny yellow. Not bad. I will leave you with a picture of the before candle decorations that I spray painted! Until next time 🙂
